ON A NICE DAY by Vanessa Lyne

An original artwork by Australian artist Vanessa Lyne.

Vanessa is a self taught, emerging abstract artist living in beautiful North Avoca on the Central Coast.

She has a great love of the outdoors. The colours of our native flora and fauna, the different seasons and a favourite pastime of scouring the coastline near her treetop home for whales provide inspiration for colour and shape.

This love of colour and interesting shapes along with some whimsy thrown in for good measure saw her begin experimenting with textural mediums and acrylics to create artworks with a tilt towards fun and happiness. Vanessa enjoys creating different sized works using acrylics of varying palettes to brighten a wall, a shelf and to bring a smile to those who wish to take one home.

Vanessa has previously held a solo exhibition at The Dangar Island Cafe and exhibited in the Women In Art exhibition at The Entrance Gallery on the Central Coast.
